What Is SIMPONI® (golimumab)?
SIMPONI® is the only anti-TNF with just one injection each month for adults with:
- moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA), with the medicine methotrexate
- active psoriatic arthritis (PsA), alone or with the medicine methotrexate
- active ankylosing spondylitis (AS)
Once you and your doctor are comfortable with the self-injection process, you will inject SIMPONI® under the skin, just once a month.
In clinical trials, 1 injection of SIMPONI® monthly has been proven to help relieve:
- Pain, stiffness, and swelling of moderate to severe RA
- Pain, stiffness, swelling, and skin symptoms of active PsA
- Pain and stiffness of active AS
Results may not be the same for everyone.
Methotrexate is used as directed.

You and your doctor decide which injection device is best for you. There are 2 different devices you can use. Each one has been awarded an Ease-of-Use Commendation from the Arthritis Foundation®.

Prefilled syringe
Some people prefer to inject with a prefilled syringe—or their doctor may recommend it. SIMPONI® gives you that choice, too. Once your doctor determines you can self-inject using the prefilled syringe, you can use the prefilled syringe at home.
